We would have liked to continue working with him but these sorts of decisions are just part of football. It is what it is. This time period is decisive for determining which players stay on and have contracts extended etcetera. However, that does not impact performances, neither his nor that of the team.”
… opponents St. Pauli: “They don’t give a lot away as a team. They operate in a disciplined fashion and as a compact unit. Their thinking is always clear and they are tricky to get the better of as a result. Therefore, it is essential that we take our chances and demonstrate the same effectiveness as we did in the reverse fixture, while also giving away as little as possible at the other end.”

… the recent winning streak: “Each win instils us with further energy and confidence but the reasons for each victory come down to the individual matches. We obviously alter our work in training to prepare for the upcoming opposition. However, the fact we won the previous game does not mean we will win the next. Internally, we look at what could have been done better in each fixture, as was the case for the Bochum game.”
